Place chicken in a baking pan or baking dish and squeeze lemon juice over. In a small bowl combine onion powder, thyme, ground rosemary, salt, and ground black. Whisk cornstarch and cold water until smooth; stir into chicken mixture and bring to a boil. Add some creole seasoning to bottom of dish.

  1. Get 6 Chicken drumsticks
  2. Take 2 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
  3. Take 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp sea salt
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  6. Prepare 2 tbsp garlic powder
  7. Take 1 tbsp ground cumin
  8. Prepare 1 tbsp dry basil
  9. Take 1 tsp chipotle chilli powder
  10. Make ready 1 tsp ground black pepper
  11. Take 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Two years ago, a friend and I took a master sauce class and although the tomato-based Creole sauce was mentioned, we didn't get a chance to prepare it that day in the kitchen. Place the chicken, breast side up, in a shallow roasting pan. Add the chicken stock to the bottom of the roasting pan. Gently loosen the skin, lifting it away from the breast, creating a pocket between the breast and skin.

Instructions to make Creole Baked Chicken:
  1. To create marinade sauce. In a medium mixing bowl add below ingredients & mix well.
  2. Using 2 sandwich zip lock bags, add in 3 drumsticks per bag. Pour in 1/2 of marinade sauce per bag.
  3. Place drumsticks bags in refrigerator and let it sit for 2 hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 450 degree's
  5. After drumsticks have been marinating for 2hours, add drumsticks and sauce to baking dish with butter, and place in oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. After drumsticks have been baking for 30 minutes, turn on the broil and broil for 5-8 minutes until drumsticks are at desired crispiness.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes and serve.

Add the chicken stock to the bottom of the roasting pan. Gently loosen the skin, lifting it away from the breast, creating a pocket between the breast and skin. Rub chicken breasts with olive oil and sprinkle both sides with salt and Creole seasoning. Place chicken in a broiler pan. Season the chicken on all sides with the Creole seasoning.
