  3. Prepare Finely chopped medium sized tomato
  4. Take Fresh green peas

  6. Take as required Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
  7. Get Cinnamon stick (broken to small pieces)
  8. Get Star anise

  14. Prepare Water - approximately

Steps to make Vegetable Pulao - quick & easy:
  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker under medium flame & add all the whole spices. Saute for few seconds. Add the onions & fry till it is translucent. Add the green chillies followed by tomatoes & saute for 2 min.
  2. Add the diced veggies and fry for a minute. Meanwhile wash the rice thrice in clean water and keep it ready. Now add the rice and give a thorough mix. Add salt, turmeric powder & water. Close the lid and cook till 1 whistle. Simmer the flame to the lowest & cook for another 5 min and switch off the flame.
  3. When the pressure goes down open the lid and mix the pulao gently. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves & serve the pulao hot.
